Teague Public Library

On December 14, 1971, the City of Teague Board of Aldermen designated the Teague Public Library as a Community Library.

Melissa Satterwhite, LibrarianMelissa Satterwhite

Satterwhite began her employment with the Teague Public Library in April 2005 and currently serves as Head Librarian. During her more than 16 years of service, she has served in both full- and part-time Librarian positions.

Satterwhite finds pride in being an active part of the Library and serving our community. You will find her and the other Library staff welcoming and there to help you find a good book, help you get on the computers, proctor testing, special programs and you may even get to hear about some of the history of Teague. She and her staff have an outstanding Summer Reading Program for the children and are providing other activities throughout the year for all ages.

Satterwhite is a 2002 graduate of Teague High School and is married to her high school sweet heart Kenny, who is also a graduate of Teague High School. She is the proud and loving mother of 4 children, Parker, Rylee, *Emilee* and Avery. She and her husband find pride in choosing to make Teague home and raising their family here.
