Elections

The City Secretary serves as the City of Teague elections administrator. City elections shall be conducted in accordance with the Texas Election Code and held annually on the first Saturday in May.

General Election May 2, 2026

The 2026 General Election will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026. 

The following positions are up for election in the 2026 General Election for a two-year term:

  • Mayor (Office currently held by James Monks)
  • Aldermen Place I (Office currently held by Ron Rasbeary)
  • Aldermen Place III (Office Currently held by Rhonda Jones)

General Election May 3, 2027

The 2027 General Election will be held Saturday, May 1, 2027. 

The following positions are up for election in the 2027 General Election for a two-year term:

  • Aldermen Place II (Office currently held by Jerry Ballew)
  • Aldermen Place IV (Office currently held by Bridget Gauntt)
  • Aldermen Place V (Office Currently held by Timmothy Campbell)

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS

Reporting requirements and other regulations are set out in Title 15 of the Texas Election Code (Ch. 251-259) and in the rules adopted by the Texas Ethics Commission. Officeholders as well as candidates are subject to regulation under Title 15.Officeholders as well as Candidates are required by state law to file campaign finance reports (Form C/OH) with the City Secretary's Office. Reporting requirements end when a candidate has filed a final report with the City Secretary.
