Water / Wastewater Operator

The City of Teague is looking for Water / Waste Water Operator that is a self-starter and has the ability to work independently, follow oral and written instructions. Preferred experience in the water and wastewater field with the knowledge of operations of ground water plants, water distribution systems, wastewater lagoons and collection systems. Knowledge of rules and regulations for state and federal reporting preferred.  On-call rotation, working overtime as needed , assist other departments as needed and other assigned duties as they arise.

Requirements:

Must have a High School degree or equivalent; Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License; at least a Texas Class D Ground Water and Texas Class D Wastewater License awarded by appropriate Texas Agency or the ability obtain within one year of hire. Additional accredited training courses in water/wastewater operations is preferred. Must pass drug screening and background check.

Police Officer

The City of Teague is currently accepting applications for 2 full-time Police Officers. $2,000 Hiring Incentive with all new hired applicants. The incentive will be distributed as follows: $1,000.00 paid after completion of the Field Training Program and the other $1,000.00 paid at the end of 1 year service. A 24-month service agreement is required, before being hired.

Requirements
QUALIFIED APPLICANT
• Must be TCOLE Certified
• Must be a minimum of 20 1/2 years of age
• Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license (upon employment) and have a good driving record.
• Must not have been convicted of a felony at any time or a Class B misdemeanor or above in the last 10 years.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must have an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces, if applicable.
• Must have vision correctable to 20/20.
• Must be able to pass the following: Full TCOLE Background Investigation, Oral Board and drug Tests

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 /hour starting, with $0.50 increase after 6 months. $40.00 extra per pay check for Intermediate or higher TCOLE certification.

Police Secretary / Court Clerk

The City of Teague is currently accepting application for a full-time Police Secretary / Court Clerk. Job duties include the oversight, organization and participation in office support activities of the department to include purchasing, statistical analysis, database management and other such duties. Provides administrative support to the Chief of Police, police department and Judge, including assisting the public in person or by telephone; drafting and typing correspondence, memos, or other documents and reports. Is responsible for maintaining filing systems and adequate inventory of supplies. Administers crime victim liaison program and performs administrative duties for the Municipal Court, as a Court Clerk.

RESERVE POLICE OFFICER

Policer Officer in a Small City. Duties include but are not limited to enforcing Federal and State Laws and Ordinances of
the City of Teague. Candidates must undergo a background investigation, drug screening, oral interview, must be able
to use computerized equipment and must be in good physical condition.

Job Requirements: Education, training, experience:

TCLOSE certified, Valid Texas Drivers License, must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
