There are many ways in which the City of Teague works to serve the community.
The following are the major departments of the city, including a description of
their main functions. If you need more information on a particular city

Responsible for overall city operations. Key staff members include the City
Administrator and the Director of Public Works.
The city is available to serve the citizens of Teague. The city supplies water,
sewer and garbage pickup to all citizens within the city limits of Teague. The
City Council has approved City Ordinances to govern the costs of these services.
Our City Administrator, Don Doering, has an open door policy and welcomes the public to visit with
their needs and concerns.
The staff is available to assist with the payments of water bills, permits and
license fees, animal control fines, information, and ordinance questions.
Responsible for the major utilities and infrastructure of the city. Key staff
members include the Director of Public Works, Street Maintenance Manager, and
Water and Wastewater Supervisors.
Our Director of Public Works, Gus Ramirez has a talented
crew to assist in the maintenance of our streets, parks, sewer system and
water system. This crew is multi-talented.
They read meters, repair streets, maintain the parks and
airport, operate the city dump, install culverts, in addition to installing water meters
and sewer taps where needed.
They are here to serve, call if you need them!
Public Safety
Responsible for all safety and emergency activities in the city. Key staff
members include the Director of Public Works, Chief of Police, Fire Chief, and
Emergency Response Manager.
Parks & Recreation
Responsible for maintenance and programming in the city's two parks. Key staff
members include the Director of Public Works, Parks and Pool Managers.
Located at the corner of 4th Ave and Main Street here in

Melissa Satterwhite, Head Librarian and her staff of employees
include Diane Willis and Debbie Stonecipher, along with volunteers from the
"Friends of the Library." This group is always ready to assist you in finding
your personal reading needs.
The library has a large research section and also a bank of
computers to allow patrons to go on-line for email or research purposes.
Along with their summer reading program, the library
sponsors many such programs throughout the year.
It sports a coffee bar and reading center for your
enjoyment as well.

library and could face criminal charges for any illegal or illicit acts while
using the computers at the library.
